Well, recently my friends and I have taken our stresses and angers out on a game, Super Smash Bros Melee. Josh Clayton and I put this video together so that we could show the true potential of our favorite character (Well, mine really. It's Josh's third favorite)All of these clips were taken from the Super Smash Bros Melee tournament we had a week or two ago.
Your profession is not what brings home your paycheck. Your profession is what you were put on earth to do with such passion and such intensity that it becomes spiritual in calling. - Van Gogh

Harvest
Wow! I am so way behind I don't even know where to begin! I think I'll probably just skip a few things and just jump from dance to dance until I'm caught up.
Ok so Harvest:
As a part of Student Body Committee, we are in charge of Harvest and Morp dances. The theme we chose for Harvest is "Where the Wild Things Grow" (You know the book). We decorated the front room where you give tickets and such was decorated like a bedroom. When you walked into the Gym it was like walking from under a bed into a huge jungle. One wall was the night sky the others had tall grass and trees and monsters dancing about. We had some eyes looking out from the darkness as well. In the middle we had a huge sail boat and a bunch of kiddie pools draped with green visqueen stuff and put some nets on top of those. Then we put little fake candles in the pools. (It's a marsh) Our false ceiling was a bunch of vines with a few monsters hanging down here and there.
While we were decorating I mentioned to Lacey that I was going to go home and sleep (This was the same day as the dance auditions for the musical, so I was exhausted!) Lacey asked if I didn't have a day activity and I told her I hadn't been asked. Within about five minutes Megan calls me to see if I would like to go with her to Harvest. Wow! What a coincidence right? Not. I totally laughed at Lacey after I got off the phone.
Well I knew that the theme for the group was BYU and U of U fans and I had to support my team right. I went home and grabbed my BYU-I shirt (the only BYU shirt I own) and called Jameson to give me his hat. He obliged (how nice, huh?) Well, just so you know, this group of people that I'm with are the popular kids and I don't fit with the popular kids very well. It's not that we clash, they are just hard to talk to. They are all about the here and now and what's happening nearby while I like to think of concepts and stuff happening in the world and stuff.

Megan picked me up and I learned that we were fitting twelve people into an eight person vehicle. Fun right? I didn't mind too much but Megan, who had just taken a defensive driving course, was dying. But it was a very polite way of dying I might add. Anyway, we got to Kate's house unscathed and I found out we had about 15 or so couples. FUN!
We played a big version of life. The first step was choosing a college. We determined our outfits could do that for us. It's a good thing Megan was a BYU fan. Actually I think we had a total of five UofU fans in the entire group.
Anyway then we had to find a mate and propose to them. That was easy. Our dates! We gave eachother ring pops and vowed to be together at least for the rest of the night. Then we got our jobs. We picked out of a stack of cards. The average salary was $60,000. Some people only got a dollar. Megan picked her card first. She was a brain surgeon, $300,000 bucks! We're set! It didn't matter what I picked. Well I picked and I was a movie star, $300,000 bucks as well! The two top cards in one couple nice right? We used our salary to determine the number of grahm crackers we would get to build ourselves a home. Well, Megan and I put our creative minds together and had the best floor plan ever. But no one would let us use the glue guns. They resented the fact we were rich. So we layed our grahm crackers flat and built a giagantic wall around our piece of cardboard. We scaled our place to where the Empire State Building was a candy corn. (Megan and I decided that we owned New York)Anyway, it didnt' really matter because after all of our (mostly my) hard work, Megan and I decided to destroy it with a few karate chops.
Then we when to Arianne's house and had pizza. "Feasting upon the fruits of your labors" part of life.
The dance was great (our mid-life crisis) Megan and I both felt like our pictures were retarded because we were both in the middle of expressions when the light flashed but when we got them back, they turned out ok. (Which was actually a disappointment, I wanted to see us being retarded) After the dance we hurry and cleaned up since half of the group was part of the SBC. We then headed over to Rachel's house and had Marie Calendars Pie. (This was our retirement.) It was good and half of us (the SBC) fell asleep on the couches in the middle of conversations. The other half assured us it was hilarious. Then we got home and I slept.

Homecoming...
Alright! Here it is! What you have all been bugging me about to put on the blog. Sorry, my schedule has not been very nice to me lately. :D
I guess I'll start on Friday and work my way through the weekend. Well, school got out at 2:20 as usual and then a drove home in a mad frenzy. I ran down to the studio begging mother for her credit card and through a few persuasive words, she gave in. I quickly drove over to Target, of course I obeyed all speed limits... well, sorta... Anyway, I went into Target with one thing in mind: maroon. I ran towards the Men's Clothing area and grabbed everything in my size that was maroon. (I even grabbed underwear, but I thought that would be a little over the top.) I found a few items that I liked. I ended up with a maroon hoodie, maroon warm-up pants, and a maroon t-shirt. I had to get a girl to escort me up the the front of the store so I could wear the clothes out of the store.
It took me less time than I thought it would so I went over to the stone church next to Home Depot and helped the Madrigals put their float together (it was a boat with a balloon arch and balloons all around) for the Homecoming Parade. After that Kendall (SBO Pres.) needed help with the Student Body Committee's float. Our float was awesome. We borrowed it from UVU It was a cool float with a huge hammer and nails poking out. We covered the most the UVU stuff with banners saying "Building A Better Viewmont" and stuff like that. We also transformed the styrofoam UVU to say VHS (well, it was actually HVS, the V wouldn't budge). It was a super cool float.
After the parade we went to my first tailgate party. They aren't that great, but it was still fun. We then hung out at Ryan's house and then went to the game in all maroon. After the game we went over to Emily's house and watched "Signs".
The next day (Saturday) I was picked up by Josh at eight o'clock. We went and picked up our dates and met at Josh's house. It was fun to have 16 people crammed into a tiny front room while we waited for the last couple. At last the last couple came and Kathy Pack told us what we were doing for our day activity (well, we knew already, of course, but she had the details.)
We had a booklet of twenty one photographs that had been taken around Centerville. We were to guess where each picture was and then take a picture of ourselves at that location. We split up into three teams and left at intervals of five minutes. I was in the last group to leave. While we searched we had three life-lines we could use. We could go to the service desk at Dicks, show them a picture and they would tell us where it was. We could call Kathy and tell her which one we were having a problem with and she would tell us where to go. The last one we could do is call another car/group and ask them and hope they are honest. Each life-line costs us five points.
It was way fun! We got in at the same time as one group but they got the points for being first even though we were supposed to get the points since we left last but we didn't press it. We ended up in last place but we all felt like winners plus we got glowsticks! And you all know how much those can cheer you up.
We then took the group and journeyed to the land of Farmington and stopped at a place called The Kershisnik's. There we had a yummy BBQ. It was set up very nicely. There was a huge dining table that had edible centerpieces! They were filled with bon bons, those fancy chocolate nut balls wrapped in gold foil, reeses pieces, apples and caramel, and other candies.
Once we were filled with chocolate, 12 layer jello, chips, hotdogs, and hamburgers, we went downstairs and played the winking game. In this game there is one chair for every couple. The girl sits while the guy stands behind her. There is one extra chair and we had a sibling stand behind that one. The one behind the empty chair winks at girls, telling them to come. The guys try to stop their girl from leaving. It is a very fun game.
We then took the girls home and while dropping Arianne off, we realized that she was locked out! We went around her house trying to find an entrance to her house in the rain. Good thing I had my umbrella to sheild her with. We finally found a downstairs window unlocked and I lowered her down into her house. How's that for a doorstep scene?
We then separated and went to our own ward houses for preisthood.
After preisthood we picked the girls up again and as I stepped into their house, Steven ambushed me with his camera flashing. Arianne begged her father to stop and he eventually did but once the flowers came out, you could hear the shutter closing over and over. Once we escaped the camera we went to the dance, which was themed "My Heart Stood Still" like the Frank Sinatra song. Of course the gym was decked out and after we got our pictures, we danced the night away, with Arianne being to perfect date, of course.
After that we came over to our house! Wow! It's been a long time since any of my friends came over to our house. We had ice cream and brownies and talked until it was time to call it a night. Josh drove me and Arianne to her house and then I got home. That was homecoming! :D Better late than never right?
I'll add more of the pictures when/if I can.

Jeepers Creepers!
So a few weeks ago I went to my first haunted house ever! Cool huh? I went to Nightmare on 13th Street! It was pretty cool. I would recommend it to anyone who want a scare or just a really cool experience. (Oh, and if you know you won't be scared, bring a girl! It's fun to watch them freak out!)
It was the night of Women's Conference. I was closing at the Nauvoo Cafe and it had been dead all night. So we started wrapping up everything just a little early. At about 7:55, five minutes before we officially close, a stampede of women come stamping throught the JSMB demanding food! (Ok, not exactly demanding but it's not like we could say no.) We had the longest line I have EVER seen at work. It poured out into the foyer and I could see no end... Just when I thought I saw it, I would see it just turned the corner or something.
I'm glancing at the clock knowing that my friends are waiting for me to come and meet them so we could go to the haunted house. (Plus, Colton was up here for Amanda's party and I would hate to miss time with him.) Well, at 8:40 we served the last hungry woman and we closed like mad men. We were out of there by 8:50. (That is three times as fast as the average time it takes to close.) I dashed home making it home at 9:05, took the quickest shower I ever had in my life, and made it to Marchele's house by 9:10. So I was only 10 minutes late.
We drove to the haunted house and got in line. In line there were some gouls and freaky things in line to get us in the mood. The girls in front of our group were so freaked out by one goul they almost didn't move up in line. It wasn't until Amanda told them that they would
be ok, that they finally past him. As we walked by him, he did the cross snapping thing (Like, "no you didn't") I gotta say that was one of the funniest sights I've seen in a long while.
My favorite parts of the haunted house were: The tunnel that the walls turn and you get super dizzy. (LOVE IT!) Then there was this part where we had to press up against a wall as we inched across this tiny ledge so we didn't fall into the chasm, while inching across, the wall starts to tip and forces you into the chasm. (Which is just a mirror pressed up to the wall so it looks like we'd fall a really long distance.) Then there was a part where the walls come in and squish you, that was fun. Anyway, I see myself going to a few more haunted houses this year. It was super fun!

Birthday's Galore!
Anyway as a surprise for Amanda Rumsey's birthday her mother flew Colton up here (Amanda ♥ Colton) and swore him to secrecy. Well, he kept his word and when I went to the party you can guess how shocked I was to see Colton there saying hi to everybody while I held 17 long stem roses and a box of creamys (Colton asked Jameson and I to get those for her since he couldn't be there on her birthday, I'll bet it was just to convince us he wasn't coming).
Today was Arianne's birthday and we celebrated her birthday by having lunch over at her house! It was super fun! Arianne's mom did the cooking and it was amazing! It was fettucinni alfredo, breadsticks, oodles of fresh fruit and veggies, and crystal light (only 5 calories! You know, incase you were looking for a low cal yummy drink).
It is such a fun time of year! Birthdays are everywhere, Homecoming is coming up, we get to hear modern revelation from the prophet of the lord, and I just finished a really good book! Oh, and I have great teachers! My path is starting to look clearer. Maybe I'll have to change the name of my blog pretty soon. You never know...

V-I-K-I-N-G-S!
Today we had a meeting and started making stuff to put around the school for Homecoming Week. I made a really good looking viking head (like the one shown). We are going to paint the parking lot this friday, too! We usually would paint the feild but we got turf now, so we can't really do that. I can't wait to whitewash the V it's going to be awesome! I'm just trying to soak up as much as I can during my Senior year and it's going to be super easy now that I'm on the committee! :D
We've started to plan for Homecoming! I can't wait for it even though I'm still unsure about what I'm going to do. But I know that It's going to be super-fun because of who is in the group!
We tried out for solo's in choir. It was super hard syncopated rhythm so I didn't feel comfortable trying out, but about a fourth of the way through the tryouts I had every solo down frontwards and backwards. I wish I had tried out now but I guess it's too late. I'll try out for every single one next time.

Well, I gotta go!
GO, VIKES!!!

Confounded Soul
Just for your information "Counfounded Soul" is supposed to show that in this time of decision in my life, I have no idea what I'm doing. Don't go into the dictionary and see that it also means "danged" and think that I believe I'm going into outer darkness. I'm definately not!
Who's House? V-House!
It's not a very easy thing, to be involved, you know. Well today I turned in my application to be in Pit Crew, Berserkers, and Student Body Committee. The questions weren't the easiest one's to answer. I'm glad I had mom to help me think up three cheers! I could never have done it on my own.
One of my favorite questions had to be "How do you eat your Reeses Peanut Butter Cups?" It took about a page and a half to answer. If only I did have a robot that could do all those things I said it could... *sigh* oh well...
Hopefully I can get into SB Committee. I would really like to get involved. It looks great on a resume. And I can do something like this instead of madrigals.
So I've decided college-wise to apply everywhere... ok not everywere but to many places! My top choices are BYU, BYU-I, USU, and U of U. I think I may have said that but things are more in stone now. (It's an incredibly soft stone, but it's stone)
Well, I'd better go do some practicing (I'm learning Prelude #1 by Gershwin! Exciting, huh?)
Ooo! Un-Gow-uh!
Vikings got the powa!

Higher Education
Well today in High School we had our Higher Education Day. We went to three different colleges that we were interested in and learned about them.
The ones I went to are:
1. USU
2. U of U
3. BYU Idaho
I gotta say USU's was the best followed closely by BYU Idaho. U of U's presentation wasn't great... if anything, I want to go there less. But I know that the school is better than what it seemed through that presentation. I am definately going to consider USU and BYU Idaho first. I pretty much know that I'm not going to Weber again. There are just way too many unhappy memories with that place.
Anyway... pretty much I know that I'm going to where the money is. I don't have my ideal GPA anymore but my ACT is good so I hope to score points through that. If anyone has scholorship information I would appreciate some! (Camille, I know you do. You are an ambassador! I want you to sell your school to me!)
I miss the family parties and stuff we used to have. I would love to get the family together for a huge sleepover thing sometime. That would be way cool... (I should probably ask Dad before I say such things, though...)
