Well, in recent days (ok, not so recent, but I started this post about a month ago) I asked Emily Randall (not the Valentines one) to Prom! I asked her though a scavenger hunt. It was great! (It was a little pathetic too. My friends and I had problems writing poems... we were a little lightheaded or something)
Well, I had been trying to find a good night to ask her for quite a while and couldn't find a really good night. Well, I realized that she was leaving for New York soon and I had to ask her before she left so I just kind of picked that night. (The night I realized I had little time)
Well, my friends had all gotten back from taking down the Millie set (I wasn't there I had all my hours and I needed to get the rest of the hunt ready.) Well, when they got back, I asked them if they would be willing to help and of course they all said, "Heck, ya!!!"
Well, I only had an hour until I had to be home and ready for my Eagle Board of Review. (side note: Too ALL of my nephews, get your Eagle as soon as you possibly can! It will be so much easier!) So we had to work quickly. I sent people to different places to place the clues and I went to give Emily the first clue (doorbell ditch style of course).
Here's the scavenger hunt layed out for ya:
Emily,
So there's this guy and he wants to ask you to prom. Well here's what you have to do to find out who it is:
Follow the clues and out. Easy, right?
Not Quite...
If you get stuck anywhere you can always text 801-808-0712 for help.
Clue #1(attached to the letter)

(I don't have the poems anymore. They were pretty awful, but it hinted toward a movie called "Noises Off")
Clue #2
A Poem about Beth and Death and stuff... And a picture of a tombstone of Beth Porter in the Centerville cemetary.
Clue #3
A Poem telling her to go to Centerville Library and look for a book. This picture was a hint:
Clue #4
A poem about wicked and bountiful music. This picture was the hint (I decided to make it easier):

Clue#5
A poem about her house and it being full of gnomes. This was the hint (pretty straight forward... it's her house)
Then I decorated her room with gnomes (on the back were the letters of my name) and left cookies on her bed.
Well, since the time crunch after I gave her the first clue I realized I only had ten minutes to be at my board of review. I had to delegate pretty much the rest of the asking. My friends were great and did a wonderful job.
When Emily got to 3D, however, she couldn't figure out which movie to look for so she texted me while I was in the board of review. Since I wasn't able to answer it she started to get "mad" (she didn't really get mad but she really wanted me to answer the phone) Well when I got out I quickly texted her the name of the movie and she was off to the cemetary.
Well, since it took so long in 3D it was dark when she got there and it was Emily, her mom, and her dad with flashlights combing the cemetery looking for Beth Porter's Tombstone. I had to text her eventually and let her know exactly where the tombstone was.
The Library had closed by then and I had to give her clue over texts.
Bountiful Music had closed long ago but Josh had taped the clue to the outside so it was ok.
When she got home she just lauged at the sixteen gnomes around her room.
So there were a few problems but it was great! :D
